Here comes another Sonic game for the Nintendo Wii. We all love Sonic and the game sure has a large fan base however after hits like Sonic 1, 2, 3 on the Sega Genesis the releases after that point have just been okay, it sometimes feels like the graphics are getting way to enhanced for sonic and the game play and originality are just not their anymore, so lets see how Sonic Colors for the Nintendo Wii pans out.
Sonic Colors has its game play set in a 3d environment however switches it up during each level to a 2d approach. You basically start off running through an amusement park built by Eggman (I love that fat guy). My first reaction was that the game play is actually pretty good, however in the back of my head I was waiting for a chance to despite a part of the game being a dedicated Sonic 1, 2, & 3 gamer back in the day. I waited and waited but the game play stayed good throughout each level.
The game also has cut scenes and the acting and voice cuts are good as well (compared to the other sonic cut scenes in previous games, this one was great and at parts partially funny).
If you think about it, Sonic's main purpose in the game is to get from point A to point B as with any game,
however encountering obstacles on the way, Sonic Colors does a great job of doing that however getting from
point A to point B is fun, so you're not constantly thinking about whats at the end at point B.
